Dear Members,

HOT HOT HOT!!!

We have a new Superintendent starting on July 5th. Robert Wigger, a LSU grad comes to us with loads of experience and enthusiasm. We look foward to working with him as we continue to improve Southbridge Golf Club. We will be hosting a Welcome Party/Q & A on Friday, July 16th @ Vickery's. Wine & Cheese will be served starting at 6pm and Q/A will begin at 7pm. Everyone is welcome to join us.

The Pro Shop is fully stocked with new spring and summer wear for men and women from companies like; Antigua, Clark & Gregory, Cutter & Buck, Monterey Club, etc. We also carry the NEW Pro v1, Srixon Z-star, and Bridgestone B330 rx(rxs).

Congratulations to Jimmy Stevens and Gene Roy(163) for winning the 2010 Member-Guest. They outlasted Tom Harris and Larry Porter(165) who finnished just 2 shots behind. John and Mike Whitmore finnished third overall with a 169.

Southbridge is hosting its 2010 Member-Member the weekend of August 7-8th. To sign up for this event just come by the pro shop for an application.

Tips from the kitchen

Savory Chicken Soup

1 tbsp. vegetable oil; 1 lb. skinless, boneless chicken breast cut into 1" in pieces; 1 can Cream of Chicken & Broccoli Soup; 1/2 cup milk; 1/8 tsp. ground black pepper; 4 small red potatoes, cut into qtrs.; 2 medium carrots, sliced; 1 cup broccoli flowerets

-Heat oil in skillet. Add chicken and cook until browned, stirring often. Remove Chicken.

-Add soup, milk, pepper, potatoes, carrots and broccoli. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 15 min. stirring occasionally. Return chicken to pan. Cover.

-Cook 5 min. or until done
